Description
The Machine Operator is part of the team, responsible for performing manufacturing tasks for our made-to-order composite bearings and related products. Tasks include but are not limited to gathering and preparing materials, transporting material to appropriate work areas, applying base materials to tooling, curing materials, machining materials to finished dimensions, and dimensionally verifying all work performed where applicable. All work is expected to be done with safe practices and 5S.

Job Responsibilities
- Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, Gemba boards, and verbal as well as written instructions.
- Set up, adjust and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Use measurement devices like calipers, micrometers, depth & height gauges, snap gauges, and plug gauges.
- Ability to use hand tools, operate manual machines.
- Set up and/or verify preset gauges for proper calibration as required, inspect own work to ensure quality and quantity standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality records.
- Strong reliability to work as scheduled to meet our customers¿ requirements.
- Ability to rotate between multiple machines.
- Must be able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Previous experience and demonstrated proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with mechanical aptitude and minimum one-year previous experience.
