Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Battery Test Lab Technician to support hands-on testing and evaluation activities within a battery testing laboratory. This position involves performing process-driven testing work, including battery tear-downs, measurements, weighing components, recording observations, and accurately documenting test results.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, typically 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
  • Pay: $23.00-$25.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable in a laboratory or controlled environment, and can consistently follow established procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on battery tear-down and testing activities following established procedures.
  • Record test results, measurements, weights, and visual observations accurately.
  • Inspect components and document findings throughout the testing process.
  • Organize samples, materials, equipment, and test documentation.
  • Follow standardized processes and maintain consistency during repetitive testing activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of testing and observations.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with lab procedures.
  • Follow all applicable safety requirements and testing protocols.
  • Communicate unusual findings, discrepancies, or testing concerns to the appropriate team member.

  • Previous experience working in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, quality, technical, or similar hands-on environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately record data.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive, process-oriented work.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow written procedures.
  • Comfortable using basic measurement tools and recording weights and observations.
  • Ability to work independently while following established processes and safety requirements.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Dependable and able to maintain a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $23.00 - $25.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
