The HR Specialist serves as the central point of contact for new hires as they transition into our client's company. This role is responsible for all functions related to the new hire onboarding and orientation processes, employee reviews, and more!

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordination and management of orientation scheduling, coordination, facilitation and documentation
  • Conduct work area tours
  • Introduction to Key staff and Management
  • Mentors Program: assignments, documentation and follow-up
  • Management of new hire's first 2-weeks training assignments
  • Coordination of new hire performance review/feedback process
  • Oversee and conduct new employee assessment program and documentation
  • Work with Operations management as a contributing team member
  • Work assigned schedule, which can vary to include 25% off shift
  • Other duties as assigned by HRM, SHRM and Unit GM

  • Organizational development experience
  • Staffing agency, experience with mass hiring and/or business administrative support can be considered
  • Airline and or commercial kitchen experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a labor/union environment
  • Strong people skills are required
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels from front line to senior management
  • Ability to facilitate learning and document using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous working experience within an ATS
  • PHR certificate is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • High School diploma is required
  • Two-year college degree is strongly preferred
  • Four-year degree is a plus

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $28.00 - $34.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
